HATWALK celebrates the success of it's 3rd Millinery Summer School
Felicity and Fenella are relaxing after their most successful HATWALK Summer School ever. Over 60 students participated in classes for beginners right through to masterclasses. Jane Smith and Ian Bennett came up from London to teach and this year we were delighted to welcome Eugenie van Oirschot from The Netherlands. Her popular class sold out almost immediately. Felicity and Fenella, as well as teaching the Beginners class ran a Fascinator Workshop to raise money for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
We welcomed students from Leeds, London, the Highlands, Glasgow, Edinburgh and as far afield as Spain.
Next year we have BIG PLANS so watch this space!
Philip Treacy welcomes our competition winner.
Felicity and Fenella were delighted to take our Best Hat Design competition winner, Stef D'Andrea to London to meet our patron Philip Treacy. She had the most amazing visit. She tried on some of Philip's amazing creations before being given a tour of the studio. She saw work in progress for such celebs as Britney Spears and Grace Jones. She then spent time chatting to Philip about her own design and how she created her headpiece. As ever it was a most successful trip and we hope that Stef will now be inspired to continue her millinery career.
